Convenient Hours and Locations

The Tri-Town Driving Program is offered in 3 convenient locations in the Boston area.

We have daytime, evening and weekend classroom sessions to accommodate your teenager’s schedule. In addition, we offer weekly road test services.

As a courtesy to our students and parents, we send email confirmations of class schedule, each driving lesson, and weekly road tests.

Lesson Scheduling

Driving lessons

Tri-Town Driving School has more cars and instructors on the road than any other local driving school, so your busy schedule won’t get in the way of learning to drive. With 24-hour online scheduling, text alerts, and staff available by phone weekdays from 8am and 4pm, we’re always ready to serve you.

Seasonal Specifics

Note that our hours and availability change with the seasons, and Tri-Town is the most popular program around. Even with extended hours and a large slate of excellent staff members, our calendar fills up. Don’t wait until the last minute to schedule your lessons!

June, July, and August

This is prime scheduling time, with our instructors available seven days a week from 7am – 9pm.

September, October, and November

Our instructors are still available seven days a week from 7am – 9pm. However, many of our students are teenagers who are juggling academics and extracurricular activities and thus unavailable until at least 6:30pm. We prioritize the needs of these newly eligible drivers, so scheduling during these months may prove challenging for others.

Your best bet in the autumn? Sign up for our text alert system to learn about openings.
December and January

It’s generally easier to schedule appointments during these months.

February, March, April, and May

We tend to get busier as winter ends and spring nears. However, winter storms can have a major impact on the availability of our behind-the-wheel driving hours.

Why Work with Us?

Tri-Town is one of the area’s largest driving schools — and among the most experienced. We’ve been doing this since 1970, after all! First and foremost, we’re dedicated to offering new drivers the highest-quality lessons on a schedule that allows them to earn their licenses as quickly as possible.

Quick tip: Massachusetts requires that you hold a learner’s permit for 184 days (six months) before you can take your driver’s license test. Work with us, and you could be ready on day 185!
